you will encounter duplication of information.
All four articles in this page were published
on 26 December 1944,
three weeks following the loss of the
B-29 flown by Major Robert Goldsworthy.
These articles were written at a time
when information was incomplete.
Some of this would not come out until after the end of
World War II.
For example, Colonel Brugge, Colonel King, and Major Goldsworthy
were not killed in the crash.
Colonel Brugge would die as a
Prisoner of War of the Japanese Government.
Both Colonel King and Major Goldsworthy
survived captivity and returned to the United States.
