Information in these four articles was correct as of the date of publication.

In February 1946 Lt Warde's remains had not been recovered.

A Finding of Death was issued whenever a person had not been identifed
one year and one day following the last known date that he was alive.

For Lt Warde, this date was 4 December 1945.

The words " Presumed Dead " in the
second article reflects this situation.

While there is duplication between the second and third articles,
each also includes unique facts about Lt Warde's life.

The final article is dated February 1949 and concerns
Lt Henry Warde's remains being returned home.

Within the
Coming Home
section

you will find a considerable amount of
correspondence between Mrs Lillian Warde and
the Office of the Quartermaster General.
