On 29 October 1947 a letter was sent to
Sgt Weiser's father, Mr Clyde L Weiser, from the Quartermaster General.

This was the first step in Sgt Weiser's remains being
transfered from
United States Armed Forces ( USAF ) Cemetery Yokohama #1.

Mr Weiser was informed that the pamphlet and the form
Request for Disposition of Remains
were enclosed and that he was to
indicate where is son was to be buried.

Mr Weiser signed this form on 11 November 1947.

One of his requests was that, if possible, his son's remains
be buried along side nine of his crewmates at the Punchbowl.

This was not possible in that they were buried in the United States.

Six months later, on 24 May 1948, Mr Weiser was informed that
the Request for Disposition of Remains form had been received.
