Record of Custodial Transfer.

His remains were disinterred from
USAF Yokohama Cemetery #1 on 18 August 1948.

Code 0492 in Disposition of Remains box (upper right side )
is the Honolulu Punchbowl Cemetery,
National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

The Record of Custodial Transfer summarizes the steps of
Sgt Weiser's journey from Japan to Honolulu.

On 19 August 1948 his remains were transferred from
Yokohama Cemetery #1 to
the American Graves Registration Service ( AGRS )
Port Facility at Yokohama.

On 29 Sep 1948 they were placed on board
the USAT Dalton Victory.

Six weeks later, 8 November 1948,
the Dalton Victory departed Yokohama.

She arrived at the AGRS Port Officer at
Honolulu on 22 November 1948.

From there, Sgt Weiser's remains were transferred to
the Hawaiian Distribution Center on 30 November.

His burial took place on 3 February 1949.
