Below is correspondence between Mrs Helen Wittee Ratliff
and the Office of Quartermaster General ( OQMG )
concerning diposition of her husband's remains.

Mrs Wittee had remarried in 1947 and she notified
the OQMG of this in her reply dated August 4 1948.

This is followed by Request for new Letter of Inquiry ( LOI )
to Lt Wittee's father Robert B Witte.

This LOI was sent on 24 September 1948.
