This same document has this number X'd out and
his identity is established by a laundry mark 6900 on his clothing.
This identification may have taken place in April 1946.
The last document is a corrected copy of the first Report of Interment.
The spelling Lt Franz's last name and middle initial are corrected.
Date of this document is 22 April 1946.
During 1945 and early 1946 it was acceptable practice
to identify men based on laundry marks.
Later, a more thorough examination was made,
including use of dental charts.
