The first document below is a
Corrected Report of Restorage dated 30 March 1948.

Lt Franz's remains were removed from his grave at
USAF Yokohama #1 ( Row 7, Grave 340 )
and restored at the Mausoleum in Row 9, Niche 33C.

This step would have been taken prior to his remains
being transferred to the American Graves Registration Service ( AGRS )
facility at Yokohama .

At the bottom are two pages of a letter with the subject
Re-Examination of Remains

The second paragraph states that six of the eleven men were killed in action.

Remains of five men were recovered at the crash site.

Paragraphs 3 through 6 outline the steps taken to identify all five men.
