Lt Eugene James Redinger married Irene Pfingstel in January 1944
while he was stationed at Hendricks Field, Sebring, Florida.

Their daughter Donna was born in 1945.

In the below article from February 2015 she provides information
about her father and her efforts to learn more about what happened to him.

Lt Redinger was one of the 62 Prisoners of War who died at
the Tokyo Military Prison the night of 25-26 May 1945.

Twenty five of these men were identified and the status of the other 37 is

Killed in Action - Remains Non-Recoverable.
