Something to keep in mind while reading these letters is
that Lt Paul Sisson was not formally identified until October 1948.

There are 19 pages, including one duplicate, within this section.

The dates range from 27 July 1945 through 4 October 1948
when Mr Edgar Sisson accepted his son's identification by the QMC.

All but one of these letters is from Lt Sisson's OMPF.
The subject of most of these
do not appear in THE 55's IDPFs or OMPFs.

This sequence details the efforts of the US Army Air Force
to both provide information and assistance to his family.

The first letter is the original from Lt Sisson's
OMPF with its dark background.

This is followed by a Photoshop edited version.

The below letters are from 1945.

Three of them inform Mr Sisson that there
is no information concerning his son's status.

The fourth is a request from
Headquarters Army Air Forces to the
Commander, Smoky Hill AAF, Salina , Kansas,
to send a representative to assist the family.
