The below letters are from 1946.

In the first one, General Witsell informed Mr Sisson
that his son's status was unknown.

Three months later, in May 1946, Mr Sisson was notified that
his son was killed in action on the date of the crash, 26 June 1945.

In the next letter from Smoky Hill AAF, assistance is offered to the family.

At the bottom is a letter from General Carl Spaatz,
Commanding General Army Air Forces,
stating the Lt Sisson died in action on 26 June 1945.
