The below sequence concerns changes in Disinterment Directives.

On 3 June 1949 a telegram was sent from the Office of the Quartermaster General to Fort Shafter.
This cancelled the original Disinterment Directive that was issued
on either 15 February 1949 or 12 March 1949.

Below the telegram is the Disinterment Directive Change Sheet
and in there is noted the telegram sent by Mr Herbert Strong on 5 May 1949.

In the Disinterment Directive there is a box within Section A titled Disposition of Remains.

The code in the original is 492 and this is the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

The code in the corrected/changed Directive is 3322, Arlington National Cemetery.
