Below are two documents titled
Record of Custodial Transfer.

The first date is 26 August 1948 when Sgt Strong's remains
were transported from the Yokohama Cemetery to the AGRS Port Facility at Yokohama.

The last date in the second document is 10 October 1949.

In between these dates Sgt Strong's remains were first
transported to Hawaii on the USAT John H Harris, arriving 7 May 1949.

On 13 September 1949 his remains were transferred from
the Mausoleum at Fort Shafter to the USAT Merrell.

The transport arrived at Fort Mason, San Francisco, on 20 September 1949.
Sgt Strong's remains were then transported by rail to
Distribution Center #1, Brooklyn Army Base, arriving 10 October 1949.

Below the last Record of Custodial Transfer is a
telegram or form letter to Mr Herbert Strong notifying him
that his son's remains were enroute to the United States.

This is followed by a telelgram from Mr Strong confirming
that his son is to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
