The first is
Table I: Aircraft Participating

There were 92 aircraft scheduled and 86 took off.
Five failed to return to base .


In the 500th Bomb Group column is the notation '1 k'.
This appears in the last entry beneath the table .

Table V Bombing Accuracy

This states the number of bombs falling within set distances from the target.
None of the bombs from the 500th Bomb Group hit within 3000 feet of the target.

The jet stream was a factor in both navigation to the target and bombing accuracy.

On the way to the target 160 knot winds coming from the west
caused B-29s to miss the initial point ( IP ), Mount Fuji.


In Table VIII are the number of Aircraft Lost and Damaged.

In the 500th Bomb Group Column is
'1c' , lost to Enemy Aircraft.
'1c' is Z Square 1.
