Mr John Wright died in November 1945 and
his wife, Mrs Janet S Wright, became Next of Kin.

Some of the correspondence was sent in his name
to Sgt Wright's address of record.

The initial step of Sgt Wright's Coming Home
took place in October 1947.

Mrs Wright received a letter dated 31 October 1947
from the Quartermaster General.

She was informed of the options available to her
for selecting the cemetery
where her son's remains would be buried.

This letter and supporting documents are in Page 2.

Mrs Wright chose to have her son's remains
returned to the United States.

Sgt Wright's remains were transported from
Yokohama to the United States on
United States Army Transport ( USAT ) Dalton Victory.

Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, Massachusets.
