Sgt Wright's remains were initially buried at the
United States Armed Forces ( USAF ) Cemetery Yokohama #1.

The first document is the Disinterment Directive.
In the upper right corner is the date 15 July 1948.

Below this is Sgt Wright's date of death
followed by the words
" Disposition of Remains ".

The Code 1300 is for Massachusetts and
Code 02 is for Distribution Center # 2, Schenectady, New York.

Next is the
Record of Custodial Transfer.

On 19 August 1948 Sgt Wright's remains were
transferred from USAF Cemetery Yokohoma #1 to
the American Graves Registration Service ( AGRS )
Port Facility at Yokohama.

His remains were placed on board the USAT Dalton Victory
on 29 September 1948.

The Dalton Victory departed Yokohama on 20 November 1948 and
arrived at either Fort Mason, San Francisco, or
the Oakland Army Base on 2 December 1948.

His remains were then transported across the
United States by rail, most likely by a Mortuary Train.

The destination for this part of his journey home was
at Distribution Center No. 2 ( DC-2 ) Schenectady, New York.
Arrival was on 13 December 1948.
