His Bomb Group is handwritten as the 449th instead of the 499th. ******************* Next is a letter dated 5 June 1950 to the Quartermaster General from Mr Bernhardt. He wrote that the Date of Death on Lt Sisson's grave marker is incorrect ( 15 August 1949 ). In addition, there is incorrect information in Paragraph 4 ( Highlighted with a blue rectangle ) The 449th Bomb Group flew B-24s in the European Theater of Operations. *********** A letter from 14 June 1950 concerns the incorrect date of death. ************
