Within Sgt Walk's IDPF are documents concerning his remains being
transported
from the AGRS Port Facility at Yokohama to the United States.
He arrived at QMC Distribution Center #13, Oakland Army Base , on
15 October 1949.
There is no information concerning the railroads
that transported Sgt Walk from there to either Omaha or Kansas City.
The next step was to transfer his remains from one of the above locations
via the
Chicago Great Western Rail Road.

This is located on the state line between Minnesota and Iowa
and where his remains were delivered to the funeral home staff.

Sgt Walk's remains are buried in St John's Lutheran Church Cemetery
east of Grafton, Iowa.
