The correspondence in this page covers
the period from 7 April 1947 through 29 October 1947.

On 7 April 1947 Mrs Warde wrote to
the Quartermaster General inquiring about the status of her son.

The reply dated 25 April provided her with the location of
her son at USAF Cemetery Yokohama #1.

She was also notified that because of a law enacted
by the United States Congress,
the War Department was now able to
obtain requests from Next of Kin as to their wishes.

A similar letter was sent to Mrs Warde on 15 July 1947.

The next letter is dated 9 October 1947.
Mrs Warde mentioned that she was notified
back in April that further information
and a questionairre would be sent to her .

In the reply to this letter Mrs Warde was informed on
29 October 1947 that the form,
Request for Disposition of Remains, had not yet been mailed.
