In a letter from Major Smith dated 7 December 1948,
Mrs Warde was informed that the Quartermaster Corps
was unable to provide the date of return of her son's remains.

This is followed by a 21 December 1948 letter to Col Bare
requesting information about her son's return home.

Mrs Warde notes that both SSgt Wells and Sgt Wright are on their way home.

The reply from Col Bare was that he was unable to provide any information.
However, he did inform Mrs Warde of some details concerning this process.
