1st Lt Henry Hewson Warde was buried in
Arlington National Cemetery
on 30 March 1949.

Mrs Warde visited his grave site two times in 1950.
The first was on 18 February and the second on 13 May.

She was quite disturbed that his unit on the grave marker was
991st Bomb Squadron.

The first document is Lt Warde's Interment Control Card Card.

In the Upper right the 881st is typed in black.
Hand written in green is the 991st.

At bottom left hand written in green:

Change is to be made from 991st to 881st.

Next is the Report of Interment dated 31 March 1949.
The 881st Bomb Squadron is clearly stated.

This document is followed by an unnamed form dated 1 April 1949.
The first section of this form was filled out by the
Superintendent of the
Arlington National Cemetery.
Once again the 881st Bomb Squadron is very clear.

In the second section
Mrs Warde filled in her request of the wording on the Grave Marker.
She signed the form on 18 April 1949.
